TESHYPERION Solar Series - Solar Water Heaters

HYPERION was the Titan god of light, one of the sons of Ouranos (Heaven) and Gaia (Earth), and the father of the lights of heaven--Eos the Dawn, Helios the Sun, and Selene the Moon. His wife was Theia, lady of the aither--the shining blue of the sky. HYPERION's name means "watcher from above" or "he who goes above" from the greek words hyper and iôn.

HYPERION was one of the four Titan brothers who conspired with Kronos in the castration of their father Ouranos. When Sky descended to lie with Earth, HYPERION, Krios, Koios and Iapetos--posted at the four corners of the world--seized hold of their father and held him fast while Kronos castrated him with a sickle. In this myth these four Titanes personify the great pillars which appear in Near-Eastern cosmogonies holding heaven and earth apart, or else the entire cosmos aloft. As the father of the sun and dawn, HYPERION was no doubt regarded as the Titan of the pillar of the east. His brothers Koios, Krios and Iapetos presided respectively over the north, south and west.

The Titanes were eventually deposed by Zeus and cast into the pit of Tartaros. Hesiod describes this as a void located beneath the foundations of all, where earth, sea and sky have their roots. Here the Titanes shift in cosmological terms from being holders of heaven to bearers of the entire cosmos. According to Pindar and Aeschylus (in his lost play Prometheus Unbound) the Titanes were eventually released from the pit through the clemency of Zeus.

Hyperion

The TESHYPERION Series solar water heater systems are compact boilers, easy to install, more aesthetic with no piping visible between the collector and the water storage tank. These systems utilize the high quality and technology integrated in the rest of T.E.S. solar water heater systems but also offer higher efficiency than the previous solar collectors integrating a new absorber design.

TESHYPERION LE™ Series

The TESHYPERION LE series is made of Anodized Aluminum External cover and Black selective paint aluminum fin, copper pipe sollar collector absorber. This is the most cost effective series but at no expense of quality. The black selective paint absorber offers the exact same absorbing capability as the higher-end Black Selective Chrome copper absorber but has a slightly higher amount of thermal losses.

TESHYPERION HE™ Series

The HE stands for High Efficiency. This series utilizes the same water tank as the TESHYPERION LE series but uses a Black Selective Chrome copper fin, copper pipe solar collector absorber. This is the top range of solar collectors offering stagering efficiency, minimal thermal losses, and the highest absorption capability than any other type of solar absorber coating. The TESHYPERION HE series is the series with the longest lifetime and highest efficiency but at the expense of the beauty compared to the ST and STi series which use a Stainless Steel Mirror outside cover material for the water tank.

TESHYPERION ST™ Series

The ST stands for Stainless Steel as this series utilizes a Mirror Stainless steel covered water storage tank. For the solar collector it utilizes the same Black Selective paint aluminum fin, copper pipe absorber as the TESHYPERION LE series.

TESHYPERION STi™ Series

The TESHYPERION STi series is the top of the range! Superb beauty and efficiency in one compact, easy to install package. This stunning solar water heater utilizes the Mirror Stainless steel outside cover water storage tank, and the highest efficiency Black Selective Chrome all-copper collector. This is the true "god of light" and son of sky!
